The following topics will be considered at the 2007 Iowa Student Global Leadership Conference. Please read each of them and consider their importance to you. Global Environment—issues related to destruction or preservation of land, water, air, and natural resources.

Human Rights—issues related to ethnic groups, indigenous populations, self-determination, religious expression, children's rights, racism, gender issues, etc.

Population Growth—issues related to the rapidly increasing world population.

Refugees—issues related to displacement due to war.

Safety—issues related to international terrorism, kidnapping, hostage taking, weapons development, testing, and distribution.

World Hunger—issues related to food security, distribution, and preservation as well as research and development.
